Biggetal Dam

When the Biggetal Dam had been in opera-tion for over 10 years, its operators decided to have the discharge valves installed there rehabilitated.

For rehabilitation the hollow jet discharge valves were taken to the VAG Service
Center. Besides the rehabilitation of the
valves, their disassembly was also intended to provide a clear picture of their condition.

After their examination and diagnosis and in coordination with the customer a new corrosion protection coating was applied, X-rays of all weld seams were taken and the latest technical developments were implemented in the context of the rehabilitation concept.
